Mel Gibson Dumped On His Ass By Agency

Mel Gibson has been dumped by his management agency.

The 54-year-old actor has been in the headlines recently after recordings of him screaming racist insults and threats during an argument with his then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva were leaked to a gossip website. Oksana later claimed that Mel had been violent towards her several times, on one occasion giving her a black eye and knocking out her teeth.

Mel's representatives have refused to comment on the allegations.

Yesterday, the star's long-term agent William Morris Endeavor confirmed Mel was no longer a client. Mel's longterm agent Ed Limato passed away last week, and The Hollywood Reporter claims the agency's boss Ari Emanuel made the decision to drop Mel. Ari has reportedly been trying to get rid of the actor since his public anti-Semitic tirade in 2006.

The recording of Mel arguing with Oksana was released online yesterday afternoon and shocked many with its "hate-filled" content. A voice that reportedly belongs to Mel is heard telling Oksana that she "deserves" to be raped by a pack of "n******", and that he wanted to "bury her in a rose garden".

Mel went public with his relationship with Oksana last year, just one month after he filed for divorce from his wife of nearly 30 years Robyn. Oksana and Mel welcomed baby Lucia in October, but split in April.

The relationship quickly became acrimonious, with Oksana filing for a restraining order against Mel last month. In response, Mel, 54, filed paperwork for custody of Lucia.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Los Angeles police were investigating Mel for an alleged domestic violence incident, which could land him a lengthy prison sentence if he was found guilty.

Meanwhile, gossip website TMZ reports Mel's lawyers have filed legal papers in their custody battle, asking the judge to hold Oksana in contempt. The paperwork accused Oksana of leaking the secretly-recorded tapes of Mel to the media, potentially damaging his chance of a fair trial. The documents also ask for a search warrant to allow Mel's lawyers to search Oksana's computer and phone for proof she sold the tapes.

Oksana's deposition denies she leaked the recordings.

Lindsay Lohan Scared To Death

According to Dina Lohan, mother of Lindsay Lohan, the actress is 'scared to death' about her jail sentence, and plans to appeal the 90-day jail sentence after hiring a new lawyer.

"She's a fighter, and until the final result—we're not giving up," Mrs. Lohan said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, which aired Friday.

She added: "I think it's time we get another attorney just to see it from another light and do damage control." Lindsay's mother maintains that an appeal is a must.

The 'Parent Trap' star is scheduled to begin her 90-day jail sentence on July 20. The sentence was handed down by a Beverly Hills judge on Tuesday, who found Lohan guilty of violating her probation terms for a cocaine possession and drunk driving case in 2007. The actress had failed to show up for her weekly alcohol education classes.

The actress' lawyer quit abruptly on Tuesday, merely hours after releasing a statement branding the sentence as "harsh and unfair. However, the lawyer said Lohan was willing to serve jail time and obey the court's orders.

The ruling stunned Lohan, who broke into sobs during the hearing which was aired live on TMZ.com, a celebrity news site. According to Broadcasting & Cable, a TV industry paper, 2.3 million viewers tuned in to Lohan's hearing via TMZ.com.

"It's very difficult, we're not sleeping well, we're not functioning. We cry a lot and we hug a lot. She's petrified, we all are. We're angry. We're disappointed in the system," said Dina Lohan. "Lindsay's scared to death."

Britney Spears In Glee

Britney Spears is the latest mega pop star to be getting a Glee-full makeover.

"We are writing a Britney Spears episode," Ryan Murphy, creator of the hit musical comedy TV show, told celebrity news show Entertainment Tonight.

It was not clear whether Spears, 28, the biggest pop music phenomenon of the early 2000s with hits like "Oops!...I Did It Again" and "Piece of Me," would also appear in the episode planned for the new season which starts in the fall.

Glee, which won 19 Emmy nominations on Thursday, based two episodes earlier this year on the music of Madonna and Lady Gaga but neither of the singers appeared on the show.

Glee, about a struggling high school show choir that sings cover versions of pop, Broadway and hip-hop tunes, was one of the most-talked about TV programs of the last year.

It produced three hit albums of music while also sending sales soaring for the original artists whose music is featured, and its young stars recently completed a U.S. concert tour.

Producers, however, have denied reports that Spanish movie star Javier Bardem, who won an Oscar in 2008 for his role in No Country for Old Men, would appear as a guest in the new season.

"No, javier bardem, jennifer aniston, julia roberts, brad pitt, elvis, katie holmes, tom cruise and u2 are not appearing in season 2. But wouldn't it be fun...." Dante Di Loreto, an executive producer for Glee, said in a Twitter message earlier this week.

Did Zac Efron Propose To His Beard?

According to recent reports, we could have a High School Musical wedding on our hands as Zac Efron is preparing to propose to his long term girlfriend and co-star, Vanessa Hudgens.

Although the actor rubbished the claims in March, calling them 'pretty funny', DigitalSpy reports that celeb blogger, Zac Taylor has gained inside info on the subject.

Apparently a source told the blogger: "The proposal has been something [Zac] has been thinking about for a while. He already has the ring picked out and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the two engaged this summer."

I Love Lucy Auctions

Fans of the legendary Lucille Ball can now own a piece of her life.

Heritage Auctions has announced the sale of rare personal effects and mementos of the legendary comedienne including love letters between Ball and her second husband Gary Morton, her 1984 Rolls Royce and her personal address book.

These items and more are being offered as part of Heritage Auction Galleries Beverly Hills' July 17 Signature Music & Entertainment Memorabilia Auction. The love letters between Ball and Morton span their 28 year marriage and her address book includes listings for some legendary performers including Jack Benny, Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, Dean Martin, and Ethel Merman.

The auction is being made possible due to the items coming to Heritage via Susie Morton, who married Gary Morton in 1996, seven years after Ball died in 1989. Morton is perhaps better known as Susie McAllister, a former professional golfer on the LPGA Tour.

"Susie has lived with these relics of Lucy and Gary's life for more than 10 years," said Doug Norwine, Director of Music & Entertainment Auctions at Heritage. "She did it out of respect for her late husband and out of respect for Lucy's amazing legacy. Now she's ready to part with these treasures as she remodels her house to make it completely her own."

Other items up for auction will include artwork, silverware and Ball's favorite backgammon boards, a game which was reportedly a passion of the actress.

George Michael Doesn't Want His Freedom

Singer George Michael has been arrested in the past for having drugs in his car and for soliciting sex in a public bathroom, but he'd yet to be arrested for drugs in a public bathroom - until Friday. Michael, 45, was arrested in a public bathroom in Hampstead Heath, a popular London park area. It is thought that he was in possession of crack cocaine. He was let off with just a caution, or a warning, which seems to be typical of this type of minor drug case in England - if Pete Doherty's storied record is anything to go by.

Michael has been unable to drive since May, 2007, when his license was revoked for two years for an October, 2006 incident in which he was found passed out in his car with marijuana. He was also busted passed out in his parked car with drugs in February, 2006, and at that time it was also pot and poppers, or amyl nitrite. If he was found with crack on Friday it looks like he's got a more serious problem and has graduated to the hard stuff:

The singer George Michael has been cautioned after being arrested in a public toilet for possession of drugs, thought to include crack cocaine.

"A 45-year-old man was arrested on 19 September on suspicion of possession of drugs in the Hampstead Heath area," a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.

The singer was taken to a police station and given the caution for possessing class A and class C drugs.

Home Office Minister Tony McNulty said drug laws needed to be "flexible".

Asked why Michael had been given a relatively mild punishment for the possession of class A drugs, Mr McNulty said he did not know the details of the case.

George Michael has been in trouble with police before

But he added that the law provides a wide range of punishments for possession of drugs, and "circumstances and context" had to be applied.

The BBC reminds us that Michael has been doing relatively well in the past year. He just finished his world tour in August, and has a multi-million dollar book deal with HarperCollins for his tell-all autobiography.

The guy has long had a penchant for public sex - he was busted by the News of The World in June, 2006 with a paunchy 58 year-old unemployed guy in a public park. Michael was first pushed out of the closet in 1998 after an infamous arrest for soliciting sex from an undercover cop in a Beverly Hills bathroom. There wasn't any mention of Michael attempting to score in this latest incident and it's possible he was only in the park to get drugs.

It seemed like Michael had his drug habit down to just smoking pot and getting wasted, but that he'd cleaned up after his arrests and comeback tour. Maybe he'll go to rehab now so he can achieve sobriety during his semi-retirement.

Cristiano Ronaldo Pays Ho Mama £10 Million

Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly paid the mother of his child £10 million on Monday to remain silent and give him full custody of the boy.

The Real Madrid footballer revealed at the weekend that he had become the father to a child who would be under his "exclusive guardianship".

An unnamed source told The Sun that the mother is a "party girl" who Ronaldo would not "settle down" with, prompting him to pay her the sum.

They said: "He paid nearly a year's wages but it's more than worth it. He's called it the most expensive day of his life, but at least he has sole custody."

The child is believed to be with Ronaldo's family in the Algarve, Portugal. The 25-year-old is said to want his mother Dolores and sister to help him raise his son.

Justin Bieber Hates Koreans?

It's no secret that he's a worldwide sensation, but Justin Bieber's latest website contest seems to have yielded some strange results from North Korea.

The "One Less Lonely Girl" singer has launched a worldwide competition called The Justin Bieber My World Tour Contest in which fans can vote for Justin to come to their country and do a tour.

The problem is, North Korea is one of the top vote getters, and since the North Korean government has put the kibosh on internet use, there's no explaining it.

Additionally, since no one in North Korea could be voting for Bieber to tour their country, it's unlikely that he'll want to go there.

A press source explained, "It has now been thoroughly highjacked by Anonymous – at the time of writing, North Korea is in second place by only a few thousand votes. Unless the current leader Israel can get its act together, it should be overtaken by lunchtime."

Lindsay Lohan Going To Jail

Lindsay Lohan's future includes a new fashion line, two new movies, some time in jail and another stint in rehab.

The actress was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail and 90 days in a residential substance-abuse program for violating her probation stemming from two separate 2007 cases of driving under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. She is to surrender and begin her jail sentence July 20. Rehab will follow.

The punishment, levied by Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, will keep Lohan from promoting "Machete," the Robert Rodriguez action film due in theaters in September. Fox, which is releasing the film, had no comment Tuesday.

Lohan's jail and rehab sentence will also delay production on "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story," in which the 24-year-old actress plays the starring role.

Writer-director Matthew Wilder said after the ruling that he and his crew remain "100 percent behind Lindsay."

"We are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film," he said.

Lohan's sentence may also prevent her from further promoting her new fashion line, 6126. The first items from the 280-piece collection are shipping out to department stores nationwide this month. Lohan was instrumental in the line's design and marketing plans and is featured in its promotional materials. Her business partner, Kristi Kaylor, did not immediately respond to phone and e-mail messages seeking comment.

Lohan's agent, Nick Styne, declined to comment Tuesday. Her manager, Jason Weinberg, did not respond to an e-mail request for comment.

Kerry Wallum, a producer with Lucky Films, said Lohan was in negotiations for a role in the upcoming Willie Nelson flick, "The Dry Gulch Kid," and that the production would wait for her if she wanted the part.

"We're behind her," he said Tuesday. "We'll wait until all of this blows over."

Revel chastised Lohan for missing a court hearing in May while at the Cannes Film Festival and repeatedly skipping out on court-mandated alcohol-education classes. She said Lohan lied about using drugs and tried to blame others for the two driving offenses when the original charges were filed.

A tearful Lohan pleaded with the judge before the sentencing, saying she did the best she could to juggle jobs and the court-ordered classes and really tried to comply with the terms of her probation.

"I'm not taking this as a joke," Lohan said. "It's my life. It's my career I've worked for my entire life."

Revel said she found the starlet's apology insincere, comparing it to "somebody who cheats and thinks it isn't cheating if she doesn't get caught."

Lohan burst into tears upon hearing the terms of her punishment. Her sister, Ali, and father, Michael, were also in the courtroom and cried after the ruling.

Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail in 2007 after she pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving.

The plea came after a pair of high-profile arrests earlier that year. Lohan was sentenced to three years of probation but had to ask for a yearlong extension in October after she failed to complete her alcohol-education courses on time.

Prosecutor Danette Meyers argued Tuesday that Lohan wasn't taking the charges or her punishment seriously and urged jail time for the actress.

"You have not caught her attention," Meyers told the judge. "I appreciate the tears, but I don't think you've got it."

Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, claimed that the actress had adhered to the spirit of the law, if not the letter.

"She has gotten it together," Holley said. "She changed her conduct and is now in compliance with the court's overall order."

Lohan may serve less than her 90-day sentence, thanks to jail overcrowding and a state program that credits inmates for good behavior, said Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore. Nonviolent female misdemeanor offenders typically serve about 25 percent of their sentences, he said.

Lohan will be taken to the Century Regional Detention Center — the same jail that housed Paris Hilton for 23 days in 2007 after she was found guilty of driving on a suspended license while on probation in an alcohol-related, reckless-driving case.

Lohan's jail sentence could impact a civil lawsuit filed after Lohan's second arrest in 2007. A woman in a car chased by the actress sued for infliction of emotional distress and the case is scheduled to begin trial a week after Lohan surrenders.

It is unclear how much of the trial Lohan would have attended, although she is listed as a potential witness in the case. A hearing was set for Wednesday in Beverly Hills.

Twilight Eclipse Tops $260 Million

In November last year, Summit Entertainment released "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," the second installment of the franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's original novels. Though thrashed by critics and not loved by many fans too, the film was the third biggest opener in the history of cinema. "Eclipse," the threequel, failed to top that, but still shined at the international box office, The Independent reports.

Though not by much, "Eclipse" fell short of expectations and failed to make more money at the box office than its predecessor, although, in all fairness, it also had a couple more days of limited screenings. On the bright side, even if with lower grossing, Summit remains confident that "Eclipse" will fare better in the long run. Also on the bright side, statistics show that a larger segment of the male audience was lured into theaters, as compared to "New Moon."

"The third installment in The Twilight Saga, Eclipse, earned $262 million worldwide during its first five days at the box office. It sold about $162 million worth of tickets in North America and earned $100 million internationally in 42 countries. Worldwide, the opening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse outshined its predecessor New Moon in many countries, including Russia and Italy. The vampire thriller was the biggest opening day ever in Belgium and has started off well in Scandinavian territories. In the Philippines, it could overtake Spider-Man 3 for the weekend. In the US, despite the film's blockbuster opening, there were expectations that it would overcome New Moon figures. It could at the end of the first six-days," The Independent says.

However, the battle may be lost but the war is far from it: come next weekend, "Eclipse" will open nationwide in 22 additional countries and more on July 15, which is to say it still stands pretty good chances of making a killing at the box office. So far, as a consolation prize, fans have a report from E! Online saying that, unlike "New Moon" and despite what critics are saying, "Eclipse" did manage to bring in new fans from the male segment of the audience.

"The Twilight movies continue to grow on guys. Eclipse's opening weekend audience was 35 percent male, up from the 20 percent turn out for New Moon and the 18 percent for the original Twilight," E! writes, citing initial figures. This is precisely what director David Slade was aiming for – and what the cast has been prophesying all along but few believed possible.

Mel Gibson Is A Racist Asshole

MEL Gibson is accused of telling his former girlfriend that the way she dressed would get her "raped by a pack of niggers" in a series of expletive-laced outbursts apparently caught on tape, RadarOnline.com reports.

The jaw-dropping tapes are the latest chapter in the couple's bitter legal feud.

Gibson's comments are an alleged mix of racist and misogynist statements aimed at Oksana Grigorieva.

"You're an embarrassment to me," Gibson reportedly told her at one point.

"You look like a fucking pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of niggers, it will be your fault."

He also apparently called Grigorieva a "whore" and a "cunt".

In another tirade, Gibson, 54, reportedly shouted: "How dare you act like such a bitch when I have been so fucking nice."

He then apparently warned her: "I am going to come and burn the fucking house down ... but you will (have oral sex with) me first," according to RadarOnline.com.

The tapes do not make it clear what the couple, who have a nine-month-old daughter Lucia, was arguing about.

Grigorieva, 40, has alleged that Gibson punched her in the face twice during a fit of rage, giving her concussion and knocking out two of her teeth.

Gibson has not denied that they had a confrontation but has described it, through his lawyer, as a loud argument.

Last month, Grigorieva obtained a domestic violence restraining order against the star, while he got his own order stopping her from talking publicly about their rocky relationship.

A representative for Gibson has not returned calls.

When police arrested Gibson in 2006 on suspicion of drunk driving, the actor barraged them with obscenities by unleashing a series of anti-Semitic remarks.

Jane Lynch Is A Mom In iCarly

The incomparable Jane Lynch is keeping busy. Aside from her breakout roll in 'Glee,' she's worked on 'The Cleveland Show,' 'Neighbors from Hell' and made time to return to 'Party Down' for its final episode.

Now she's heading to Nickelodeon for a guest role on their No. 1 show, 'iCarly,' according to The Ausiello Files.

While Carly's best friend Sam (Jennette McCurdy) is always seen at Carly's house, she does have a home of her own, and a mother she talks about but has never been seen on the show. That won't be the case for long, as Lynch has been perfectly cast in that role for an episode that begins filming this week.

While it's not clear what kind of demeanor the character will have, we can already see a "family resemblance" between Sam Puckett and Sue Sylvester, Lynch's mean cheerleading coach on 'Glee.' Both are aggressive, strong, opinionated, a little frightening and may have a few screws loose.

The role should bring Lynch's brilliance to a whole new audience base, and she might even pull some of them back to 'Glee' with her. Maybe she can convince 'iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove, who already has a recording career, to return the favor.

Naomi Campbell Bald?

You could be forgiven for thinking she had torn out clumps of hair during one of her infamous temper tantrums.

Posing for a photoshoot for designer Dennis Basso in New York's trendy Meatpacking District this week, Naomi Campbell revealed startling bald patches either side of her head.

As the 40-year-old pulled back her hair while a stylist adjusted her clothing, she revealed a vanishing hairline just above her ear.

The supermodel, originally from Streatham, South London, has worn straight extensions over her naturally curly hair for a number of years.

Experts say this may have permanently damaged her natural follicles.

Marilyn Sherlock, from the Institute of Trichologists, which represents hair loss specialists, added: 'It looks like traction alopecia, hair loss caused by the use of extensions.'

Traction alopecia occurs when the extensions pull on the natural hair causing it to break.

It usually affects the hairline just above the forehead or the sides, where the hair is weaker.

It can take between three months to a year for hair to grow back in moderate cases.

But if the pulling continues the hair will never grow back and the only option is a hair transplant.

Celebrities including Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, Britney Spears and Alexandra Burke are all reported to have suffered traction alopecia as a result of hair extensions.

Hair transplant surgeon Dr Peter Williams said: 'It is very common in people who wear braids and tight buns, as well as extensions.'

Trichologist to the stars Philip Kingsley said tight hair styles, pony tails, hard brushing and hair extensions could all lead to traction hair loss.

'The old-fashion hair extensions were put in by weaving threads which had hairs attached to them between the natural hair,' he said.

'They were weaved next to the scalp and tightly knotted at each end to secure them.'

'Because of their proximity to the scalp, the thread, which the hair knotted onto it, rubbed on the scalp, caused irritation, consequently making it sore and sometimes breaking the skin.'

He said the new way to put in hair extensions, which involves glue-heating them onto natural hairs, could cause similar problems.

'The biggest potential problem is traction hair loss and breakage because of the pulling involved.'

But Naomi appeared oblivious to the revelation as she posed at a gas station.
She wore a green swimsuit that put her long, lean legs on show and also paraded a series of fur coats.

The former Peta campaigner famously declared in the Nineties that she would rather go naked than wear fur but she had a change of heart some years back.

Bieber Grossed Out by Mother's Playboy Rumor

Justin Bieber is obviously annoyed by the circulating rumor that his mother Pattie Lynn Malette was pondering over Playboy magazine's offer for her to pose topless in a sexy spread. After his mother and rep came out with a denial to the false report, the pop sensation himself spilled his thought on the matter through his Twitter account.

"My mom is a moral woman...let's just leave that one for what it is...because that rumor just grossed and weirded me out...," the 16-year-old "Somebody to Love" singer tweeted on Tuesday, June 29. The message was one of many tweets the Usher's protege posted on Twitter in addressing "some crazy rumors" about him.

Beside stating his ground on the Playboy rumor, Justin also slammed several other faux reports, including the one that said he is dead. "Im not dead. I had to check on this one...but it turns out Im alive," he commented. In another tweet, he stated, "I have not joined the Illuminati or any other cult. Im a christian and I pray before every show and am thankful for every blessing."

Days earlier, celebrity blogger Zack Taylor reported that Justin's 34-year-old mom has been offered $50,000 to strip off her clothes in front of the camera for Playboy. However, the false speculation was quick to be denied by Pattie Lynn herself. Taking it to her Twitter, she debunked the story, "PLAYBOY!? Heavens No, HELL NO! Heavens AND Hell NO! Thx but no thx!".

Former Melrose Place May Be Charged With Manslaughter

The mug shot of "Melrose Place" star Amy Locane-Bovenizer has been released after police say she crashed into another car while driving drunk, killing the passenger and critically injuring the driver.

According to Acting Somerset County Prosecutor A. Peter DeMarco Jr., the fatal accident was not her first of the night.

Police say that Locane-Bovenizer was driving drunk Sunday night when she smashed her SUV into the passenger side of a sedan as it was turning into a driveway in Montgomery Township, N.J., about 10 miles north of Princeton. The driver, Fred Seeman, was hospitalized in critical condition; his wife Helene died at the scene.

DeMarco said responding officers detected the odor of alcohol on Locane-Bovenizer's breath and arrested her.

Locane-Bovenizer allegedly admitted to police later Sunday evening that she had downed several glasses of wine prior to driving, according to the paper.

Locane-Bovenizer is charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto. She is being held at the Somerset County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Geri Halliwell Spiced Up over X Factor

Geri Halliwell is feeling disappointed over the backlash she allegedly received during her stint as an X Factor guest judge, a report has claimed.

The former Spice Girl stood in for Dannii Minogue at the Glasgow auditions earlier this month, but she was reportedly booed and heckled throughout the day.

According to Now magazine, the setback hit Halliwell hard as she had hoped to land a permanent place on the panel or a position on the forthcoming US X Factor.

A source told the publication: "She was really excited when Simon Cowell asked her to guest judge. She'd expressed interest in this role ages ago and seemed to be pinning everything on it. But her appearance turned into a disaster and she's gutted."

The insider added: "She tried playing the baddie judge, but only Simon Cowell has the charisma to get away with that. She made too many ill-thought out comments and failed to gauge the audience's mood."

Natalie Imbruglia and Katy Perry have also appeared as guests on the panel this month.
