Alleged Wife Beater Gets over $20 Million

It’s amazing, the life of celebrities. Charlie Sheen who has been charged for domestic violence and is scheduled for trial in July after apparently putting a knife to his wife’s throat and threatening to kill her, has become one of the highest paid TV actors this past week.

This isn’t even the first time he’s been accused of violence. In his divorce with Denise Richards, she claimed that he threatened her with violence. And then there was the sex scandal he was involved with while married to his first wife. And after all this scumbag behavior, he still gets awarded $1.2 million per episode or over $20 million a season for "Two and a Half Men".

CBS President Nina Tassler defended their decision to award Sleezy Sheen with 2 more seasons of the hit show, by saying “because the show is called 'Two. And. A. Half. Men. It's not called 'One and a Half.' Because it is the show, his point of view. He's a big star. We're so thrilled to have him back. I think we value our stars and our actors. They brand the show. And he's a huge part of it."

Basically the message sent out is that if you bring in enough cash, no one cares about the crap you do in your personal life. It’s all about profit and "Two and a Half Men" is CBS’ highest-rated sitcom.
