It’s not only tartar build-up and nasty gum diseases you have to worry about. If you don’t brush your teeth twice a day, you’re more likely to develop heart disease, says a new British study.

Earlier this month, the pop singer and sometimes-actress, told Ellen DeGeneres that she brushes her teeth only about three times a week, because she doesn’t like them to “feel too slippery.”
So keep in mind - just because they’re pearly and sheen, it doesn’t mean they’re clean.

“I don’t brush them everyday. I’ll use a shirt or something ... I know it's gross, but I always have fresh breath," she said. Simpson added that she's a big fan of Listerine and floss.

Forbes Ranks Top "American Idol" Earners

According to a Forbes ranking of the top earning “Idol” contestants, the music market is pretty well saturated with almost 100 "Idol" alumni and the odds are against this season’s winner raking in the dough.


Last year’s winner, Kris Allen, sold only 300,000 copies of his album, and if ratings and vote tallies are any indication, fans may have moved beyond voting for their favorites with their wallets.

Neither Bowersox nor DeWyze is expected to do as well as No. 1 on the Forbes list, Carrie Underwood.

The publication, which ranked "Idol" stars according to earnings made from June 2009 to May 2010, says the country singer raked in $13 million, making her the most financially successful artist launched from the show.

Coming in a close second was season one champ Kelly Clarkson, whose millions of records sold plus a successful tour helped her garner $11.7 million over the past year. Third place finisher on the list is Chris Daughtry, who earned $10.2 million.

Not too shabby for the man who finished fourth on season five of the show behind that year’s winner Taylor Hicks, who didn’t even rank on the Forbes list.

Who will be crowned #1 in Twitter World? 

The Celebrity fan following wars has taken over from a real life into an online form in the wake of this Internet era.

Britney Spears is your hottie in reel life, but wait. She is the hottest person on twitter too! We all know the metrics of being hot on Twitter and Britney has got it right. Britney Spear will overtake Ashton Kutcher’s follower count soon. Kutcher has a current strong and growing follower count of 4,890,797 whereas Britney has a follower count of 4,878,516 which is not just growing but accelerating!

This title was last held by CNN which Ashton Kutcher overtook last year around this time. One thing to note here is that, CNN’s account was managed by a group of people, Ashton Kuthcer’s account is solely managed by him and he has good tweeting habits. Britney Spears on the other hand shares her account with Adam Leber who happens to be her manager.

It is estimated that Britney Spears will take the crown from Kutcher in around a fortnight if her following continues to grow at this rate.

MALAWI And Gay Rights

A gay couple in Malawi, found guilty of gross indecency and unnatural acts after they took part in an "engagement ceremony," was sentenced to 14 years in prison Thursday.  

Steven Mojenza, 26, and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, 20, were convicted in a court Tuesday.


The pair was arrested in December at their home in Blantyre, Malawi, for professing their love in a traditional engagement ceremony. They were rounded up after news reports surfaced, charged under colonial-era sodomy laws and detained at Chichiru Prison without bail.


Homosexuality is illegal in Malawi -- as it is in most African nations -- and government officials have said they are simply upholding the law.

If I can offer some suggestions:

Perhaps Madonna and other celebrities can ban together and adopt all the gay people in Malwai and leave behind the starving children ...

Or perhaps all people should  admit or pretend to be gay in hopes of being arrested.  This would help resolve the countries poverty crisis.   The government would simply feed and provide shelter to everyone.  Crisis solved!
